Recently Cotton Traders contacted me to review one of their homeware items. After some deliberation, I decided to review a Fair Isle red and white throw from their home department. This post is in conjunction with Cotton Traders but all words and opinions are my own.
Have you heard of Cotton Traders?
Many of you may know of the company Cotton Traders. After all, they are an international company known for sportswear.
Cotton Traders started in 1980 when two ex-rugby stars Frank Cotton and Steve Smith were looking to do something together in the future. They joined Bukta Sportswear which was responsible for creating sports team kits and later in 1987 they opened an office in Altrincham and Cotton Traders were born.
Cotton Traders then became a real success story, opening their first retail store in 1998 and their website in 2002.
However, if you have heard of Cotton Traders I bet you only know them for their rugby shirts, hoodies and sportswear, but did you know they also do home furnishings? They started doing home furnishings in 2017.
I loved looking around their home section recently as I didn't realise they had so much choice, but I finally chose the Fair Isle throw to review.
The Fair Isle Throw
The bright and attractive design in red and white immediately attracted me to the throw. it has a tree and snowflake pattern. Fair Isle is a traditional knitting technique that creates patterns with multiple colours. It is named after Fair Isle, one of the Shetland Islands in the UK.
The throw is super soft to the touch and feels very cosy. It is large enough to cover a 2 to 3 seater sofa, and it measures approximately 140 cm wide to 180 cm long. I feel this throw is perfect for winter, and also for spring or autumn when you want another layer on the bed.
The quality I feel is excellent for the money as the Fair Isle throw retails at £19.00 which is a bargain for the quality you get. It is well made with no loose stitching and is machine washable. It's thin and not bulky but is lovely and cosy and would make a great extra blanket on your bed too.
Although the pattern is winter-themed, I think this is a great all-year-around addition to your home and adds a lovely splash of colour to any room.

They often have discounts for your first order too.
Let me know, have you ordered from Cotton Traders? Did you know that they do home furnishings?
