As I get older I have become more interested in natural and sustainable products, so when The Edinburgh Skincare Company contacted me to review their skincare. Read on to find out what I thought about the company and the rich anti-ageing day cream.

Who are the Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company?

The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company began in 2010 with a commitment to creating high-quality, natural skincare products without harmful synthetic ingredients. 

The founder, of the company, inspired by an artistic background, initially crafted soap in their kitchen, refining the process despite challenges. After launching at Edinburgh’s Christmas Market, the products gained popularity, marking the start of the company’s success. Today, they emphasize using 100% natural ingredients, eco-friendly packaging, and never testing on animals, maintaining a dedication to ethical and sustainable practices. All products are handmade in Scotland to this day, even as they have grown.

Ultra Rich Anti Ageing Face Cream

The Ultra Rich Anti Ageing Face Cream is a nourishing cream perfect for day or night application. To be smoothed over the face and neck, it has a light lemon fragrance that didn't upset my sensitive skin. The ingredients are below: -

• Beeswax for the protective barrier it provides your skin from harmful effects of the environment. Beeswax also helps reduce dryness by locking in moisture into the skin.
• Avocado Butter for its natural sunscreen properties along with Vitamins A, B, G, and E which easily penetrates the skin.
• Sicilian Bergamot which is a natural cleanser and helps to balance oily skin by unclogging pores. Agreat ingredient to have in your anti ageing face cream.
• Frankincense for wrinkles has been used for years, as it has anti-inflammatory effects which promotes smooth skin and is an effective natural anti-acne and anti-wrinkle remedy. It treats dry skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and age spots, scars and stretch marks.
• Virgin organic unrefined Shea Butter for its ability to provide luxurious nourishment and deep moisturising as it contains high concentrations of natural vitamins and fatty acids beneficial to rejuvenating tired looking skin.
• Coconut Oil seeps deep into the skin pores for moisturising penetration. The lauric acid contained in coconut oil has beneficial anti-bacterial properties to help improve the healthy glow of naturally beautiful skin.
• Certified eco-sustainable Palm Oil for a natural source of vitamins A, C, and E as well as beta keratin which is a powerful antioxidant that kills off free radicals that can lead to premature ageing by destroying skin cells.

I appreciate the fact that the product is 100% natural and contains no artificial colours or preservatives. The eco-friendly packaging is great, and you could use the glass pot again for keeping herbs or spices. A little goes a long way with this product and I would say it's suitable for dry skin sufferers everywhere. You can really see how this face cream with the avocado butter and beeswax can make your skin super soft by locking the moisture into the skin.

Priced at £20.99 I feel it's a fair price for a product that is so nourishing and can be used sparingly.
