When I stay in a hotel and especially when I am paying, I look for a combination of quality rooms, a decent range of facilities, great breakfast and value for money. Now value for money can apply whether I am staying in a luxury establishment or a cheaper property, as value for money appropriate to the type hotel is important to me. A little bit of quirkiness or a few stylish touches is also nice, and modern facilities are a must.
Independent hotels are nice but sometimes you want the reassurance of a chain hotel in a city centre location, especially when you are on business or are with the family.
The Jurys Inn Manchester |
Jurys Inn operates 37 hotels under the Jurys Inn brand and 16 hotels under the Leonardo Hotels brand in great locations throughout the UK, Ireland and Prague. Known for their friendly welcome and excellent customer service they have a great reputation for three star and four star hotel stays.
I was delighted to stay in the Jurys Inn in Birmingham a few years ago on a hosted basis. The Jurys Inn Birmingham is centrally located on Broad Street, with a selection of restaurants and bars on their doorstep, the National SeaLife centre close by and New Street train station a ten minute walk away. I was really impressed with the location which was perfect for my trip to visit Birmingham and Cadburys World nearby.
Today the rooms here have been recently refurbished and are able to accommodate three adults or two adults and two children under the age of 12. I remember thinking that this was great as my son was 16 at the time that we went and he shared the room with us. All the rooms have large beds, en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi, flat screen TVs with Freeview and airconditioning.
Jurys Inn Aberdeen Airport |
I think it's great that the Jurys Inn have spent money on investing in their hotels. It's always good to have the most modern facilities and nice decor. The Jurys Inn Aberdeen Airport is one of the hotels with fabulous stylish decor. We almost always stay at an airport hotel overnight before flying the next day and when we go to Scotland next year we may try this hotel out.
Jurys Inn also owns the Leonardo Hotels brand with 16 hotels around the country and the same style and class like the Jurys Inn. I like the look of the Leonardo Hotel in Tower Bridge London and the one at Heathrow Airport would be perfect before our next trip abroad.
Today on my blog I am giving away a one night stay for 2 on a bed and breakfast basis in one of the UK or Ireland Jurys Inn or in a Leonardo Hotel. To enter check out these links jurysinns.com or leonardohotels.co.uk and then answer the question on the blog.
What hotel would you stay at if you won? Good luck!
