Gemondo Jewellery Review And Competition Ends 01/10

I have an eye for sparkling things, having had a jewellers shop myself, so when Gemondo offered to work with me, I had no hesitation in saying yes! 

 Gemondo is a British based jewellery store, bringing pretty silver and gold jewellery to customers from their base just outside of London for the last 11 years. With a particular focus on stunning gemstones, they offer natural gemstones with no synthetic or lab made stones used, which is great to know.

Their website is a veritable treasure trove of amazing amethyst earrings, gorgeous garnet rings and tantalizing tanzanite necklaces.  Jewellery is organised into type, metal and price, with a section on gemstones, birthstones and gifts. Their craftspeople have over 20 years experience in choosing the most precious gemstones and they offer special orders on certain items too.  

 Here are some of my favourite pieces from the Gemondo site below.

9ct Rose Gold 0.18ct Morganite & Diamond Floral Ring £155



I really adore this 9ct rose gold ring as it's exceptionally pretty. The centre stone is a pale pink colour and made of morganite and surrounding the stone are sparkling white diamonds. This ring would make a pretty gift for a daughter or girlfriend and I can't imagine any woman not being delighted with this ring.




9ct White Gold Diamond Love Knot Stud Earrings £129



These intricate white gold earrings studded with little diamonds are in a love knot design, a symbol of eternal love. These earrings would make a lovely anniversary present or a present to show commitment and how much you care for your loved one.  


Sterling Silver Tanzanite & Marcasite December Birthstone Heart Locket Necklace £49

My last choice is a heart shaped locket in beautiful silver and marcasite. I have chosen the tanzanite version of the necklace as I love this stone but this necklace comes with a variety of birthstones decorating it. The locket also opens up so you can put a photo inside and makes a great keepsake.

As you can see Gemondo offer a range of jewellery from different price points, and with a large selection of jewellery under £25 it's an affordable website too. They are also members of the National Association of Jewellers so you are assured of a quality product and excellent customer service.

    I love the tanzanite locket too as December is my birth month, but I'm after a nice bracelet and thee are some lovely ones on the website. I think I'd choose the Sterling Silver Rennie Mackintosh Inspired Marcasite 19cm Bracelet as it is unusual and has features all round so it doesn't matter when it slides round your wrist.

    Hi, my name’s Lucy and my life was turned upside down in 2016, a month before my 21st birthday, when I was taken into hospital with a serious illness. Three months later, I was diagnosed with encephalitis.

    I was a final year Criminology University, but since becoming ill I have had to move back home as a result of my new disability. Because of the small and boring town I live in, I have been looking for ways to occupy my time.

    Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis is a disease occurring when antibodies produced by the body’s own immune system attack NMDA receptors in the brain. NMDA receptors are proteins that control electrical impulses in the brain. Their functions are critical for judgement, perception of reality, human interaction, the formation and retrieval of memory, and the control of unconscious activities (such as breathing, swallowing, etc), also known as autonomic functions.

    this condition has left me paralysed in one leg and with questionable memory. when i came out of hospital i could not talk, walk, read or write and have had to teach myself to do this all over again. i remember looking at my makeup and wondering if i would ever remember how to apply it again and looking at my clothes and wondering if I would ever wear anything but my dressing gown ever again.
    thankfully, with sheer determination and hard work i am almost 100% back to myself, despite the problems with my leg.

    i hope to return to university in 2018 and to fill my time between now and then i have started a blog to raise awareness of the illness i experienced and also recently started a girly YouTube channel which I hope to expand into haul and lookbook videos as well as makeup videos and videos about my condition.
