The London Jewellery School are raising money for the charity Cancer Research UK throughout 2014 by getting people to make their signature cocktail rings and sharing images of rings they've made.
There are several ways to get involved in the Cocktail Rings Against Cancer campaign and one of those is by coming along to the London Jewellery School to join in one of their special CRAC events.
The first of these is a family fun day on Sunday 16 March from 12 to 4pm. There will be a chance to make a cocktail ring with help and advice from one of our tutors, jewellery making for children, face painting and a cake sale to raise money for the appeal.
An example of the ring you could make
Everyone is welcome and to take part in the ring-making you need to make a minimum £10 donation - this includes the materials for your ring which you will take away with you.
Find out about how else you can take part in Cocktail Rings Against Cancer and contribute a picture of your ring go to the campaign page here.
The example ring is gorgeous! And what a lovely campaign. Just wish London wasn't so far away!

You can also make the ring online for a small donation - no need to be near London.

What a wonderful way to raise money and same time provide family workshops.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a great idea too.
DeleteHappy Birthday Melissa :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie :)
DeleteSuch a wonderful idea for someone with creative talent. I've always wondered how to support charities due to my huge lack of ability to do anything fitness or bravery related. I now 'volunteer' my work (I'm a writer) to support a local homeless charity and it's the best way I can get involved. The fun day must have been great for everyone who went :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great way to support your local charity Beth. Well done!
DeleteLove this ring!
