The World's Most Expensive Jewellery

Cheryl Cole recently was in the news due to her engagement and marriage to Frenchman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini. Her engagement ring was a beautiful emerald cut diamond worth £275,000. The ring is a “sharp flawless emerald diamond representing the “love and surrounded by two trapezium-cut diamonds for both personalities”.

For many people they can only dream of a ring as stunning and as expensive as that. Budget is almost always a consideration when buying jewellery for us mere mortals, but what if you were a billionaire and money was no object. What would you spend your money on?

Jewellery World have created an infographic about the most expensive jewellery in the world. Cheryl's ring has nothing on these fantastic pieces of jewellery.

Why don't you have a look at these stunning pieces, and tell me what is your personal favourite? Princess Diana's engagement ring, a classic diamond set sapphire, or the Graff Pink diamond ring? Maybe you have another favourite. Let me know! I personally love the heart shape diamond worth 11 million. A girl can but dream...

  1. Might not be the most expensive but I've always loved Diana's ring.

  2. I couldn't wear a massive ring like that I would be terrified of losing it and I think because I have small hands it would look daft x

    1. It is, but you have it forever, clothes, shoes and bags don't last like jewellery does and it always retains some value.

  5. The pink one is pretty, but to be honest I'm not in love with any of them. My engagement ring was just £200 and is stunning. I don't think even if I was rich I would want something very expensive, but I'm not a massive jewllery fan x

    1. I am sure you have jewellery that means a lot to yourself. It is nice to look at these beauties though I must admit.

  9. My OH just told me yesterday that DeBeers controls the prices of diamonds all over the world. Talk about monopoly and keeping prices artificially inflated!

    1. They used to in the past but it's not the case any more as far as I am aware.
